Vancouver Ikebana Association is a non-profit organization, featuring Ikebana floral arrangements (Japanese style). Ikebana, the Japanese word for flower arrangement, is based upon certain principles of art which are recognized the world over. The love of lines so characteristic of all Oriental art rather than the appreciation of form and colour is perhaps the most salient feature in differentiating Japanese flower arrangement from all others. They will have ikebana displays and demonstrations inside the Vancouver Buddhist Temple. Demonstrations will be on both Saturday, July 30, 1:30-2:15pm and 4:00-4:45pm, and Sunday, July 31, 1:30-2:15pm. バンクーバー生け花協会は、生け花（日本式フラワーアレンジメント）を専門とする非営利団体です。生け花は、世界中で認められている芸術の理に基づいています。東洋美術の特徴である、形や色彩ではなく、線を楽しむことが、日本の生け花を他のものと区別する最も顕著な点であると言えるかもしれません。 生け花の展示やデモンストレーションはバンクーバー仏教会の中で行われます。デモンストレーションは７月３０日（土）午後１時半から午後２時１５分、午後４時から午後４時４５分。７月３１日（日）午後１時半から午後２時１５分の予定です。
